George Strait is my biggest idol. I dedicate this page to him and his music. I don't believe he has ever sang a bad tune, at least not that I've heard. I've never had the pleasure of seeing George Strait in concert nor am I a member of his fan club.(I hope to be soon though.) My favorite George Strait tune is Amarillo By Morning, and that's only because I grew up listening to that song and I believe that was the first one I ever heard by him. I also have family in Amarillo, so it reminds me of that. If I have ever looked up to anyone as a role model, it is George. I am an athlete, as a matter of fact I run cross country in college and we went to Texas for the National meet this past year. I am glad to say that George is coming to Chicago in May and I finally get to see him in concert, its going to be awesome, I can't wait. I just wish I was a fan club member so I could get better seats and maybe meet him, but I'm a dreamer also. I write songs myself but I can't play any instruments, so I'm sure I'll never see Nashville the way George has, but I'll keep writing, keeping that in mind.

Since the early 1980's George has been entertaining all country music lovers. He has accomplished almost anything imaginable in the country music industry. Throughout his Wrangler ads and Resistol ads, and his music....he has become a Legend among legends. I can't even imagine what a family would go through by losing their daughter in the music world, I can only guess how hard it would be to sing all those country ballets. A modern day legend Cowboy such as George has became a role model and idol for a lot of people, and I admire his style. With all of George's accomplishments....He'll always be a legend in my mind.
